Plug-In Upgrades

Detroit EV is Michigan's only installer of the Prius+ PHEV which upgrades the Toyota Prius to a 100+ mpg Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle. We will also upgrade the Ford Escape Hybrid, and yes, lithium batteries are available! Detroit EV uses the proven Prius+ design from CalCars and manufactured kits from Plug-In Supply.

 

Prices: Toyota Prius 2004-2008 models 
Sealed AGM Kit - $6,500 or Lithium Ion kit - $9,500
Installation - $1,500 takes 1 full day
Total: $8,000 or $11,000 for Lithium Ion
Deposit required: $4,000, balance due at time of installation
Optional at your home installation, on a dry, warm day >60F, is $1,000

Installations will begin in June/July 2008, Lithium available in late 2008
